Maybe it has something to do with trauma? I think maybe writers --especially of memoir/creative nonfiction-- are often people who've been through a lot and write to process. My mother also went through it at 39-40.

Wow. I am shocked at how many of us are in m friend group! It is a small percentage relative to the population, so they say. Is that true I wonder? How many of us never “reported”

My plan is to start simple... having had to give up gluten for the inflammatory properties, I'm eyeing that zuchini bread! I'll need something to come down from Italy!

I'm so thankful I more or less breezed through it. Or at least, that's how it seems in hindsight. I don't miss all that mess one bit.
