Oh Trish! Thank you, that means so much! I am sitting here in the car while hubs listens to the Smartless podcast and wondering, does this even make sense?!?
August went by in a blip! I'm so glad I got to get you to three very different shows and got to see you in two! Occasionally I find the word "merkin" just pops into my head and I laugh. I'll see you in October for the launch here!
What a delightful post. Taking a deep dive into the difference between folks who claim a home(town) and cling there throughout their lives, versus people like us who are always looking forward to the next new thing/place, reminds me of this post by Austin Kleon where he quotes Brian Eno:
"The farmers settle a piece of land and cultivate it carefully, finding more and more value in it. The cowboys look for new places and are excited by the sheer fact of discovery, and the freedom of being somewhere that not many people have been before."

You're on fire with this one L, from place to Mom, all the good stuff. I've got a good feeling about this launch. You go Sister!

Maybe the Polynesians were cowboys!
That quote really resonated with me. Here's the post. https://austinkleon.com/2021/07/13/the-pirate-gardener/
Or maybe the cowboys are reincarnated Polynesians???
Which camp do you fall in?
