I just got back from a firehose of a week in Las Vegas, where I attended the Author Nation conference. The event brings together publishing professionals in a whirl of classes and demos and meetups. The vendors are there to sell their products, and the wonder of that is that, in so doing, they teach you the world of possibilities.
Problem being, now my brain is full and I need to hustle to start promoting my book that’s coming out in January. Sure, for some self-published authors that’s a pretty relaxed schedule. But my Queenpin Chronicles historic thriller series require A LOT of research. Plus, but there are a couple of major holidays between now and then. And when I’m with family, I’m with family.
The gist of this being, I got the bright idea to ask AI for some social media video script ideas for my forthcoming book, Vegas Girls. In brief, the book blurb:
Las Vegas, 1945. To tear down a criminal empire, Thelma Miles must mastermind an elaborate ruse. To pull off the con, she assembles an unlikely crew: Kathleen Young, a shrewd businesswoman with secrets of her own; Lillian Montgomery, a Hollywood starlet who's not as she appears; and Imogene Fuchs, a relentless reporter determined to expose corruption. As federal agents circle, rival gangs plot, and her father's empire grows, Thelma must decide how far she'll go to avenge the past—and whether family loyalty is worth the price of her soul.
PLEASE! I’d love to hear your thoughts— you’ll hear mine on camera—or maybe you have some suggestions?!?
These are split up into five short videos, one for each suggestion I got.
What’d you think? Like any???
AND… most importantly, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I believe we can (and must) combat the bro-dom already in AI through training.
